Q: How do I know which treatment is right for me?

Introduction

One of the most common questions we here is: “I want better skin, but which treatment do I need?”

The answer is never “one-size-fits-all.”

At Refreshed Aesthetics, we use a diagnostic, layered, patient-centered approach to craft a treatment plan that addresses your skin from the inside out, not just a trendy fix.

Why “self-diagnosing” can backfire

Skin concerns often have multiple overlapping causes (sun damage, collagen loss, hormonal changes, lifestyle factors). A client might come in thinking they need a chemical peel, but after assessment, we discover they’ll benefit more from micro-laser resurfacing, growth factor therapy, or combining both. Getting the wrong first step can lead to frustration, wasted budget, or compromised results.

How we guide you: Our decision framework

  1. Consultation & Skin Analysis

We begin with a full history — medical, skincare, lifestyle, goals — and include diagnostics like skin scanners and visual analysis. This establishes your starting point.

  2. Prioritizing Targets

We map out concerns (e.g. texture, laxity, pigmentation, volume loss, crepiness) in order of urgency and impact. Some things must be addressed sequentially — for example, reducing pigmentation before aggressive resurfacing, or building collagen support before enhancing volume.

  3. Choosing Modalities

We then match each target with the treatment type best suited:

    • Pigment/redness > IPL, Photofractional lasers

    • Texture/pores > ResurFX

    • Laxity/firmness > RF microneedling

    • Volume loss/structure > Dermal fillers

    • Overall glow & health > medical facials, PRP/PDGF

  4. Timeline & Phasing

We design a phased protocol: what you do first (foundation), what’s the “boost” phase, and how to maintain over time. We also build in recovery windows and seasonal timing.

  5. Budget & Patient Preferences

We always present options at varying levels: with pros, cons, and expected outcomes — so that patients can choose confidently, and have complete knowledge of the trade-offs.
